Munich, March 14, 2024 – Together with the experts from Globis Management Consulting, the renowned trade magazine Chip has conducted a comprehensive survey of digital innovations. The aim was to find companies and organizations that are particularly advancing the German economy with their innovations. Inova Semiconductors was recognized as a "Digital Innovator" for its innovative strength in the field of electronics for the fourth time in a row.
"We are delighted to once again receive the award as one of the most innovative companies in Germany and to be recognized for our consistently high development achievements in the field of gigabit/s communication and the digitalization of light in the automotive sector," says Robert Isele, CEO of Inova Semiconductors. "This is further confirmation of the excellent work of our development team and impressively demonstrates the innovative strength and creativity of our company."
In the Chip study, a company's patents and their relevance were used as a benchmark for its innovative strength. The study is limited to German applicants, with first-time patent applications from 2021 to 2022 forming the most important data basis. First filings and only patent classes belonging to the category of digital innovations were analyzed. Around 23,368 patents were registered in the period mentioned. Only these new patents were evaluated and included in the ranking. A total of around 1,600 German companies and organizations were involved. Of these, 318 companies from over a dozen sectors were identified and recognized as digital innovators.
